New Computer Technology Makes Invisalign Possible. Invisalign uses the latest 3-D technology to create your customized aligners. Your first step is to visit an Align Technology certified dentist. The two of you will determine what you wish to achieve. After compiling photos, data, study models, and treatment instruction, Dr. Gashinsky will then send this information to Invisalign. Invisalign uses advanced computer technology to translate these instructions into a sequence of finely calibrated aligners- as few at 12 or as many as 48. You’ll wear each aligner for about two weeks and only take out for eating, brushing, and flossing. As you replace each aligner with the next, your tooth/teeth will move- gradually- week by week, until they move into the final alignment you and Dr. Gashinsky discussed.
